Advertising channels
Creative supply, judged on collected revenue.
TikTok rewards creative volume, and volume is what makes fatigue hard to see. The adapter reads every ad with its first-seen date, frequency and cost-per-result curve, so a video can be retired before the curve bends rather than after the week is spent. Smart+ and automated delivery keep running TikTok's auction untouched; what changes is the budget they receive and the event they optimise toward. Value signals return server-side with an event_id matching the pixel, so a retried browser event never becomes a second purchase.
In short: Authorisation runs through the TikTok Business API, giving the adapter each advertiser ID in the Business Center along with its pixels, event sets and audiences. Campaigns, ad groups, ads and creatives sync in; budgets, bids and exclusions go out, and purchases and CRM outcomes return through the Events API.
What it is
TikTok is short-video inventory bought through advertiser accounts inside a Business Center. The integration covers token exchange, advertiser discovery, object and report sync, bounded budget writes, and the Events API stream carrying purchases and offline outcomes back.
What Realvertising receives
- Advertiser, campaign, ad group, ad and creative objects for every advertiser ID the token covers, including Smart+ campaigns with their budget and target settings.
- Report rows by day, ad group, creative and placement: spend, impressions, video views, clicks, conversions and conversion value.
- Pixel and event set configuration, plus the match rate and delivery status of each server event batch.
- Creative fatigue inputs — first-seen date, frequency, hook and hold rates where TikTok reports them, and how spend is concentrated across live videos.
What it sends back
- Events API server events with hashed identifiers, purchase value, currency and an event_id shared with the pixel.
- Budget, bid and target changes on campaigns and ad groups, plus pause and resume, inside the daily movement ceiling and reversible from the action log.
- Customer file audiences for suppression and seeding, rebuilt whenever the matching CRM segment changes.
What this lets you ask
Questions this connection makes answerable.
- "Which TikTok videos are credited with more collected revenue than they spent, once refunds are deducted?"
- "How long does a TikTok creative hold its cost per result before fatigue shows?"
- "Where does TikTok's reported conversion count diverge from the attributed one, and by how much?"
How it connects
- 1Authorise the Business Center. Advertiser IDs, pixels and event sets are discovered, and you choose which advertisers are in scope.
- 2Match the Events API to the existing pixel and confirm the event_id field, so browser and server events resolve to one purchase.
- 3Set budget ceilings, the daily movement limit and approval rules in the Campaign Constitution. Writes stay closed until they exist; event forwarding follows the state your consent platform reports.
Where it stops
- TikTok's attribution windows are shorter than search platforms'. Considered purchases often land outside them, which shows up as network truth and financial truth disagreeing — the reason the four layers are never collapsed into one score.
- No search-term equivalent exists. Targeting is expressed in TikTok's own interest and behaviour taxonomy, so audiences can be expanded or excluded within that taxonomy and nothing finer.
- Report latency and rate limits are TikTok's. Intraday rows are provisional, creative-level breakdowns are thinner than Meta's, and a metric absent from the API is absent here rather than modelled.
