Revenue
Optimise on revenue that cleared, and adjust when it comes back.
Platforms optimise toward the value you send them. Send order value and you buy orders; send collected revenue net of refunds and you buy customers who pay. Your finance system is where that distinction already lives — invoices raised, payments settled, subscriptions renewed, credit notes issued. Realvertising reads those outcomes, keeps them as financial truth, and the budget engine uses them to judge spend.
In short: Realvertising reads customers, invoices, payments, subscriptions, refunds and credits from your finance system, and holds collected revenue as the financial layer of truth, separate from network-reported and attributed figures. Realised values are forwarded to the ad networks as conversion values, and refunds go out as adjustments rather than being quietly dropped.
What it is
A finance system keeps the commercial record: customers, invoices issued, payments settled, subscriptions, refunds and credit notes. Revenue that cleared, and revenue that came back, are both known there first.
What Realvertising receives
- Customer records with first payment date, currency and payment terms.
- Invoices issued and their state, with amounts, tax treatment and due dates exactly as your finance system holds them.
- Payments settled and part-settled, including failed and retried collections.
- Subscription events — start, upgrade, downgrade, renewal, pause, cancellation — together with refunds and credit notes and the dates they took effect.
What it sends back
- Realised value to Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft as the conversion value for the matching click or lead, replacing order value wherever the Constitution says to optimise on collected revenue.
- Refund and credit adjustments as restated conversion values, so a network credited with March revenue also receives the March credit note.
- An acquisition reference on the customer record: credited channel, campaign and landing page, with the attribution rule named alongside.
What this lets you ask
Questions this connection makes answerable.
- Which channels are credited with customers whose second invoice is paid?
- What share of last quarter's credited revenue was refunded, and which campaigns carried it?
- How far apart are network-reported revenue and revenue that cleared the bank for the same campaign?
How it connects
- 1Authorise your finance system in read mode and select the entities and currencies Realvertising reads.
- 2Choose the value definition each network optimises against — invoiced, collected, or collected net of refunds — and record that choice in the Campaign Constitution.
- 3Set the restatement window: how far back a refund reopens an outcome already sent to a network, and whether that adjustment needs an approval.
Where it stops
- Invoices, payments and tax treatment are owned by your finance system. Realvertising reads amounts and never posts, edits or reconciles them.
- Collected revenue arrives late by nature. Recent days are labelled provisional, and the Constitution's minimum-evidence rule can hold an action until the money lands.
- Adjustments land at each network's own speed, inside its own restatement window. Where a network refuses a late adjustment, the difference is shown rather than absorbed.
