Network APIs change every quarter; the campaign definition does not.

Campaign Intent records the outcome, the market, the audience definition, the message angle, the economics and the constraints that bound them. Adapters read it and render network objects; the intent itself holds nothing a network can deprecate. Retire a campaign type or reshape a targeting model, and the mapping is updated once — every intent re-renders without being rewritten. Because all live objects trace back to one intent, campaigns stay comparable across networks whose structures have nothing in common.

No network fields in the object

The intent stores outcome, market, audience definition, message angle, economics and limits. It carries no campaign type, no bid strategy and no asset group. Those belong to whichever network is rendering it this quarter.

Versions, not overwrites

Editing an intent writes a new version rather than replacing the old one. Adapters diff that version against live structures and change only what moved. The Campaign Constitution decides which parts of the diff a person approves before it goes out.

Lineage in both directions

Every network object stores the intent id and the mapping version that produced it, and every intent lists the objects currently rendering it. A number in a report walks back to an intent; an intent walks forward into the ad accounts running it.

In this capability

  • Network-agnostic definition
  • Versioned intent history
  • Object-to-intent lineage
  • Pinned mapping versions
